Everglades Fly Fishing Charters

Spend some time with family, friends, or business colleagues fly fishing the Everglades for Tarpon, Snook, and Redfish with Capt. Colin McMullen.

Located South of Naples, Marco Island is the gateway to the 10,000 Islands National Wildlife Refuge, the Everglades National Park, and some of the best fly fishing in the world.

The third largest wilderness area in the Unites States, the Everglades lives up to its reputation as one of the country’s wildest places. The Everglades, when accessed via water, reveals itself to be one of the greatest shallow water fisheries in the world as well as one of the most accommodating places for anglers of all abilities to chase the fish of their dreams with a fly rod.

The part of the Everglades that we fish is a tidal coastal ecosystem comprised of thousands of miles of shorelines protected from the wind by mangroves that provide the perfect habitat for the gamefish we pursue. Mud, sand, oysters, or the combination of the three compose the bottom of these mangrove estuaries and the tannic water that flows over them creates an environment that fish thrive in and provides anglers an experience only found here.

Fly fish for tarpon in Marco Island, FL.

Tarpon

Every spring, when water temperatures rise into the mid-seventies, one of the greatest natural occurrences on planet earth takes place in our backyard - the tarpon migration. Tarpon are the main attraction for fly anglers in the Everglades as catching one on fly is certain to be one of the most exciting moments of your life.

Fly fish for snook in Marco Island, FL.

Snook

Those in the know understand the appeal of a snook. Snook don’t get the hype that the “Big-3” (tarpon, permit, and bonefish) receive, but those who have spent time in Southwest Florida chasing big snook with a fly rod will attest that catching a big Everglades snook on fly is a fly fishing accomplishment on par with or greater than a Key West permit.

Fly fish for redfish in Marco Island, FL.

Redfish

We aren’t going to lie...fly anglers looking for a giant trophy redfish don’t come to the Everglades to catch one. There just aren’t many around. What the Everglades, Marco Island, and Naples have to offer is a healthy population of slot sized redfish (18-27 inches) that are a staple to our fishery and make for some great experiences on the water.

The Areas We Fish:

Capt. Colin fishes a vast area of Southwest Florida to give his anglers the best opportunities as fly fishing in the Everglades, 10,000 Islands, Marco Island, and Naples is very conditional and the fish move around frequently.

We fly fish the waters near:
Chokoloskee, FL
Everglades City, FL
Goodland, FL
Marco Island, FL
Naples, FL

Capt. Colin will supply your fishing license and can supply all tackle upon request. His boat will have a cooler with ice.
